The Story Behind My Canvas

 always been a creative soul with an entrepreneurial spirit. My love of creativity is something I get from my beautiful mother. From an early age, the story behind my canvas began when I started trying my hand at different creative entrepreneurial endeavors. Vividly I can recall playing dress-up creating different looks with old sheets, and modeling for my family (lol). Sadly, there are no photographic records of my early fashion triumphs (tragic, I know). I remember building little cars out of styrofoam, you know the containers food comes in, yep those.

My First Entrepreneurial Endeavor

My first entrepreneurial spark ignited during a church trip fundraiser. While most crafted keychains using the traditional two-string method, I couldn’t resist adding a touch of myself. I experimented with different designs and incorporated more strings, determined to make mine stand out. That first keychain sale wasn’t just a successful transaction; it was a firecracker lighting a fuse in my soul. I knew right then and there, my destiny lay in creative entrepreneurship.

I eventually found my calling in designing wearable art after college, which is funny because growing up I wasn’t allowed to we

ar jewelry and didn’t even get my ears pierced until college. This creative discovery came about after many frustrations of always searching for jewelry that was unique, and fit my individual style and my personality, but I was never able to find exactly what I was looking for. I would find pieces that I liked, but there always seemed to be something missing…..that key element of uniqueness or, there was something that I wanted to change. The pieces I found weren’t unique, didn’t have that WOW factor, and were boring, and run of the mill.
